The AluFrame Assistant features a self-learning database. New connections can be added through the SOLIDWORKS interface by placing them and using standard functions to teach them to the system. The database stores information such as profile type, slot size, connection position, and additional properties like article and order numbers. This ensures that connections are automatically placed and managed in future designs.
Standard connections can be added with a few clicks. Select two profiles, and the software will suggest compatible connections based on the profile manufacturer and slot size. After selecting the connection, it is automatically placed, and any necessary modifications (e.g., drilling) are made to the profiles. A sub-assembly is created if multiple parts are involved.
Parts lists can be exported to Excel using customizable templates that define both content and format. Item numbers can be assigned automatically or manually, with various options such as number ranges and separators.
Templates follow a clear XML scheme and can be customized by the user. An Excel document can serve as the table header, including logos, order numbers, addresses, and other general information.
The AluFrame Assistant for SOLIDWORKS allows easy placement of components such as wheels, feet, and end caps. Simply select a profile in the 3D model, choose a component from the database, and decide if it should be positioned at the start or end of the profile. The system automatically inserts the component, adjusts the profile, and updates the component’s properties.
The intelligent teach-in feature is available for these components, enabling users to add new ones and select manufacturers freely.
