Launching Singapore’s First SOLIDWORKS SkillForce Program
On March 13, 2026, we marked a meaningful milestone for engineering education and industry collaboration in Singapore.
A Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) was signed to launch the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce program at Singapore Polytechnic (SP) – a global initiative and the first of its kind in Singapore. As part of this, SP has also achieved SOLIDWORKS Authorized Training Centre (SATC) status, a key requirement for joining the program.
The MoC was signed between three key players:
- Singapore Polytechnic (SP) – Singapore’s first and largest polytechnic, developing future-ready engineers and industry talent
- Dassault Systèmes (DS) – the force behind SOLIDWORKS SkillForce initiative
- CADVision Systems (CVS) – your trusted SOLIDWORKS partner and Education Reseller

The People Behind the Milestone – from left to right:
SP, Duncan Sih – Director, School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering

SOLIDWORKS SkillForce: Bridging Academia and Industry
At the core of this three-way collaboration, SOLIDWORKS SkillForce is designed to enhance internship programs and student experiences.
For Academic Institutions
- Expand connections with industry partners to improve internship placements
- Leverage SATC status to deliver full, industry-recognized SOLIDWORKS training
- Enable students to use commercial SOLIDWORKS premium licenses for real-world engineering tasks during internships
For Industry Partners
- Connect with participating academic institutions to easily identify eligible student interns
- Access interns’ commercial SOLIDWORKS premium licenses during their placement

SOLIDWORKS SkillForce helps educators, students, and companies overcome common internship challenges by providing practical tools, real-world experience, and stronger industry engagement. Together, Dassault Systèmes and CADVision Systems play a key role in facilitating the program by providing commercial licenses, training resources, and ongoing support to ensure students and partners get the most out of the experience.

SP-AMLJ Industry Visit: Setting the Stage for the MoC Signing
The MoC signing took place during the Advanced Manufacturing Learning Journey (SP-AMLJ) Industry Visit at Singapore Polytechnic, and was witnessed by SPETA (Singapore Precision Engineering & Technology Association) and SiTA (Smart i4.0 Transformation Alliance), highlighting strong support from the wider industry ecosystem.
We also extend our appreciation to SiTA for providing the SP-AMLJ platform to host this signing, and for bringing together industry partners to drive greater awareness of the SOLIDWORKS SkillForce program.
Jointly organised by SP and SiTA, the monthly SP-AMLJ initiative is a guided tour that brings industry professionals on campus to experience smart manufacturing, automation, and AI-driven applications – featuring real, functioning machines in a mock shopfloor environment for a highly immersive and engaging learning experience.
