There are times when you would need to use your SOLIDWORKS remotely outside your office desk. For SOLIDWORKS network license, it would be difficult to do so as the computer need to connect with the same network as the server that holds the SOLIDWORKS network license.
Fret not, SOLIDWORKS allows you to temporarily borrow one of the license seats out of server for travelling users.
To borrow SOLIDWORKS network license, kindly follow the steps below:
1. In your computer, launch SolidNetwork License Manager Client (latest version).

2. Select ‘License Borrowing’ tab.

3. Under the ‘Borrow until:’, select the date for total duration that you want to borrow. The duration can only be up until 30 days MAX.

4. Under ‘Available product licenses’, select the license you want to borrow. Depending on what SOLIDWORKS network products that the server has, it will be listed here. Click on ‘Borrow’ to proceed.

5. Select Product window will open. Click ‘OK’ twice to select product tier and finish the borrowing license step respectively.

6. Your SOLIDWORKS license is now successfully borrowed out of the license manager.
